Trump says Iran war "close to over" amid hopes for more negotiations
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate, Consumption and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 2.57% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Natura & Co SA (BVMF:NATU3), which rose 8.29% or 0.70 points to trade at 9.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Cogna Educacao SA (BVMF:COGN3) added 7.72% or 0.21 points to end at 2.93 and Minerva SA/Brazil (BVMF:BEEF3) was up 7.08% or 0.38 points to 5.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BRF SA (BVMF:BRFS3), which rose 0.10% or 0.02 points to trade at 19.89 at the close. Santos Brasil Participacoes SA (BVMF:STBP3) added 0.21% or 0.03 points to end at 14.18 and Auren Energia SA (BVMF:AURE3) was up 0.29% or 0.03 points to 10.53.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 690 to 276 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Santos Brasil Participacoes SA (BVMF:STBP3) rose to all time highs; up 0.21% or 0.03 to 14.18.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.20% to 25.19.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.06% or 35.72 to $3,417.32 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.41% or 0.26 to hit $63.78 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 3.56% or 13.00 to trade at $378.00 .
USD/BRL was down 0.83% to 5.43, while EUR/BRL rose 0.13% to 6.36.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.92% at 97.61.
