Asia stocks climb tracking Wall St rally; Nikkei hits record high, China GDP beats
Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , Semiconductor and Electronics sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Dynamic Electronics Co Ltd (TW:3715), which rose 10.00% or 8.40 points to trade at 92.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Ta Ya Electric Wire & Cable (TW:1609) added 9.96% or 3.60 points to end at 39.75 and DFI Inc (TW:2397) was up 9.92% or 7.40 points to 82.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SciVision Biotech Inc (TW:1786), which fell 9.66% or 10.00 points to trade at 93.50 at the close. ITEQ Corp (TW:6213) declined 8.01% or 7.90 points to end at 90.70 and Depo Auto Parts Industrial Co Ltd (TW:6605) was down 6.61% or 11.50 points to 162.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Dynamic Electronics Co Ltd (TW:3715) rose to 52-week highs; up 10.00% or 8.40 to 92.40.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.52% or 0.33 to $63.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.41% or 0.27 to hit $66.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.06% or 36.62 to trade at $3,490.32 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.22% to 29.88, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.12% to 0.24.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 98.07.
